Classroom Spotlight! Playful Pups Class | Douglasville, Ga Preschool | Seeds of Faith Preschool

The Playful Pups class is Seeds of Faith youngest organized class. We plant the seed of faith early around here! Every day is a fun adventure full of love!

 We typically begin our day with manipulatives which help build those fine motor skills. Puzzles, Play-doh, and all sorts of sensory items are some favorites.

Everyday we have a specials time. On Tuesdays, we see Mrs. Michelle for Music and Movement, and on Thursdays we see Zach (and Mrs. Amanda!) in Bible Buddies.

Once a month. Mrs. K. comes from the Douglasville library for fun books, songs, and rhymes. We never know what crazy costume she is going to show up in next!

Snack is sure an important time as far as our little guys are concerned! We begin with a simple prayer and reinforce the importance of handwashing. We like to start good habits early!

Recess time is another popular one! We love to go outside but are certainly lucky to have our gym for those cold or rainy days.

Weekly, we have an art project corresponding to our monthly learning goals. Colors, seasons and holidays- we include them all! We also have a monthly nursery rhyme that often gets reinforced here.

We end our day with story time which often includes our Bible focus of the month. 

The introduction of classroom manners is a big focus for this class. Learning to play together sweetly and sharing is an important first step to making friends. We learn to line up by standing on dots right by the door. By winter, our little guys have this down! Sitting for short periods of time, whether for snack or story time, is a critical classroom skill we introduce as well.

We do all this while focusing on teaching our little guys about God’s love. It is important to us that our Pups have a quality, fun learning experience while developing a life long love of the Lord.
