Helpful Hand Washing Tips for Preschoolers
It is that time of year that germs are everywhere with colds, flu, and runny noses. If your child is in school, daycare, or preschool, we all know that children share their germs.
The CDC gives helpful tips on how to wash your hands...
Preschoolers learn through play, song, games, and many other creative ways. Teaching your child to wash their hands can be fun! You can sing songs, play a game, race to see who finishes first, and many more!
1. Visual Steps
Children learn a lot through visual learning. Make a little poster with the steps in their bathroom so they know what comes next. Below are two different types of visual boards. The second one can be cut into small squares and then placed on a ruler with velcro. Once each step is complete, have the child take it off the ruler to show it is done. Once all are gone, they have completed all the steps to washing their hands! This is a great tool to use for children with special needs.
